September 2020 – June 2021
Tuning the Instrument:
A Monthly Online Course on Sufi Mysticism
“Come to the mystic, then, and sit with him when you are tired of all these other remedies that you have employed in vain; come and take a glass of wine with him. The mystic wine is the inner absorption, which removes all the worries and anxieties and troubles and cares of the physical and mental plane.”
After the summer break, our classes will begin again at the end of September 2020 and run until end of June 2021.
These classes are aimed at offering ongoing spiritual support and guidance for those who seek to deepen and integrate Sufi teachings into daily life. In this new series, we will journey through the Sufi planes of light each month to tune, awaken and embody the fullness of life – within us and how we relate to the outer world with all its challenges today.
This new series of online classes will explore the universal Sufi teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan, the alchemical model of transforming consciousness inspired by Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan, and updated attunements and practices given by Pir Zia Inayat Khan.
Saki presents an easily accessible recorded class each month, which includes four separate sections which can be downloaded and listened to offline at your own pace. Each monthly class includes sacred music, prayers, guided meditations, a morning meditation, and themes with Sufi practices. The monthly practices and thematic readings are also written out for you to download.
In addition to receiving the recorded monthly class, participants also receive a weekly e-mail with mystical poetry and an invitation to reflect on some of the themes addressed in the classes. There will also be live ZOOM classes each month, where we shall share sacred songs, chants, and practices together. Since the pandemic, we’ve had regular livestreamed ZOOM classes which have enhanced our sense of joining together in community in a very personal way.
Since 2015, these classes have included an international community from over 18 countries. Both newcomers as well as more experienced students of meditation and the inner life have joined us So come, come whoever you are!
