About Saki Lee
Saki Lee is the heart behind Lightsong – Inayatiyya. She has been a devoted student of Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan since 1974, and although he passed in 2004, he remains her beloved guide and teacher to this very day. Pir Vilayat — a mystic, meditation master, and visionary — brought Sufism alive in contemporary culture, weaving timeless wisdom into the unfolding of modern consciousness.
Drawing from this living lineage, Saki guides retreats and spiritual classes that invite transformation from the inside out. She shares the alchemical retreat process first developed by Pir Vilayat — a journey of deep healing and inner awakening — with individuals and groups internationally.
Her love of sacred music, mystical poetry, and the Dances of Universal Peace infuses her work with beauty and attunement, helping others feel at home — in themselves and with one another.
Saki brings warmth, depth, and joy to her work as a Sufi guide, teacher, and companion on the path, welcoming all sincere seekers, whether seasoned or newly beginning.
She has served on the faculty of the Suluk Academy, a school of Sufi studies founded by Pir Zia Inayat Khan, and is a cheraga (minister) in the Universal Worship — an ecumenical and interfaith service that honors the shared light within all religious traditions.
In her professional life, Saki was a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and somatic therapist for over 40 years. Since the global pandemic, her work has shifted toward wellness coaching and spiritual support, offering guidance through classes and one-on-one consultations. She sees this work as a form of sacred tending — like the art of gardening — nurturing what is ready to blossom in the body, heart, and soul.
