THE HEART IS ITS OWN MEDICINE: Walking the Mystical Path
A Closed 9 Month Online Series with Murshida Saki Lee
“Come to the mystic then, and sit with him/her when you are tired of all these remedies you have employed in vain; come and take a glass of wine. The mystic wine is the inner absorption which removes the cares and anxieties and cares and worries of the physical and the mental planes.” – Hazrat Inayat Khan –
In our current world which is going through uncertainty and unrest, the journey towards healing and unity begins with each one of us. During this new online class series we will explore the wisdom and resilience of spirit that resides within our own hearts as we delve into the mystical path which offers us invaluable tools for navigating life’s challenges.
Welcome! We have been sharing these online series since 2015 with an international group of spiritual travellers from over 16 different countries. Our monthly classes include a monthly recording which you can download and listen to at your convenience, weekly email inspirations, and a monthly live ZOOM meeting with all participants. For those who live in the Netherlands, there is also the opportunity to meet in person at the Sufi Center in Den Haag, in the meditation room where Hazrat Inayat Khan had on occasion met with his mureeds.
Our online series has its foundation on the Sufi teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan, Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan, and Pir Zia Inayat Khan. Additionally we will include the inspirations of the Christian mystics Theresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross, Thomas Merton and Hildegard von Bingen, and contemporary teachers Dr. James Finley, Richard Rohr and Rev. Matthew Fox.
We ask for a nominal fee, on a sliding scale basis, that enables us to pay for administrative and overhead costs in these offerings, as well as free or reduced tuition for those with limited income. These classes are offered in the spirit of spiritual friendship, community and support to all who wish to deepen and integrate Sufi mysticism into daily life. (scroll further down)
