ONLINE RETREAT: The Art of Growing Older and Wiser
JULY 30 – AUGUST 1 2021
guided by Saki Lee, Inayati Order, Int’l retreat guide
DUE TO THE CANCELLATION OF THIS YEAR’S ZENITH INSTITUTE CAMP IN THE SWISS ALPS, WE ARE HOLDING OUR RETREAT ONLINE THIS YEAR.
“Blessed is the one who sees the star of one’s soul as the light that is seen in the port from the sea.“ ~ Hazrat Inayat Khan
The honoring of elderhood is an important life stage for ourselves as well as for our families and communities. It is a beautiful time to identify what has truly given heart and meaning to our lives, to share our gifts, and to pass on our legacies to others. Conscious eldering is a time of deepening spiritual practice as well as of exploring everyday spirituality and the sacredness of embodied life in relationship with impermanence and the infinite.
You are invited to a short three morning mini online retreat to highlight and harvest the joy, creativity and wisdom of your elderhood. During these three mornings, we shall attune to:
- Healing practices that support and strengthen the body-mind
- Contemplating and releasing self-limiting beliefs and stereotypes about ageing
- Practicing self-compassion to cope more effectively with change, loss, worry and stress commonly associated with aging and to better care for our bodies and emotions
- Contemplating how we are called to serve others through giving, mentoring and sacred activism.
Participants will be encouraged to spend the afternoons in nature and places of beauty and silence where they can journal on some of the themes that will be given for reflection.
Please write to us for the recordings after the retreat!
