About Saki Lee

Saki Lee is a senior Sufi guide and teacher who has devoted her adult life to the universal Sufi path. Through classes, retreats, pilgrimages, online courses, and personal spiritual guidance, she accompanies individuals and groups in the lifelong journey of awakening to the deeper possibilities of the heart.
A devoted student of Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan since 1974, Saki was deeply shaped by his vision of a living, contemporary mysticism—one that embraces the depths of contemplative experience while remaining fully engaged with the challenges and possibilities of everyday life. His teaching and example continue to inspire her as her own spiritual journey unfolds. She remains actively engaged in the Inayatiyya and supports the work of Pir Zia Inayat-Khan, Pir Vilayat’s son and successor, in carrying the Sufi Message forward into our time.
Alongside her Sufi path, Saki has long been nourished by Christian mysticism, particularly the Benedictine tradition of prayer, silence, hospitality, and attentive listening. A lifelong love of nature has also been an essential part of her spiritual life. These different streams have deepened her experience of the unity at the heart of spiritual life and her understanding that there are many ways of listening for the Sacred.
At the heart of Saki’s work is the alchemical journey taught by Pir Vilayat: a path that embraces the fullness of our humanity—body, mind, heart, soul, and spirit—and invites us to discover more deeply who we are and who we may become. Her retreats and courses weave together meditation, prayer, sacred music and poetry, silence, the Dances of Universal Peace, contemplative practice, and spiritual companionship. She seeks to create spaces where depth and lightness, silence and joy, inner discovery and everyday life can meet.
Saki serves as a retreat and spiritual guide within the Inner School and Healing Order of the Inayatiyya and as a Cheraga (minister) in the Universal Worship, the interfaith service founded by Hazrat Inayat Khan to honour the sacred wisdom of the world’s religious traditions.
Above all, Saki loves bringing people together in an atmosphere of warmth, beauty, and spiritual friendship. She welcomes people from every background who feel drawn to explore the universal Sufi path, listen more deeply to the wisdom of the heart, and discover how a contemplative life can find expression in greater love, compassion, creativity, and presence in the world.
