Lightsong-Inayatiyya: A Sufi Path of Spiritual Liberty is dedicated to awakening and actualizing the sacred in everyday life. Our activities aim to inspire, support and serve personal transformation in a way which is balanced and creative, and which enables us to respond with courage and passion to our heart’s truest calling.
Our retreats, classes and special events are rooted in a universal approach to Sufism, and include sacred music, dance and poetry. The wellspring of our inspiration is drawn from the teachings and practices of the Inayati Order International, a mystical and ecumenical fellowship sparked by the visionary legacy of Hazrat Inayat Khan, his son Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan, and his grandson Pir Zia Inayat Khan.
We see spiritual awakening as not separate from intellectual learning and creativity, nor from full engagement with developments in the areas of philosophy, psychology, science, culture and the arts.
Each individual’s spiritual transformation is crucial in the evolution of humanity’s realization of unity. Our aim is to promote greater understanding and acceptance of all living beings, and to bring this into the different areas of our lives, including the personal, professional, social, ecological and spiritual.
